Sales Development Representative

Find and qualify pet businesses that fit TailWerks, earn the next conversation, and keep every outreach touch, response, and handoff clean in the CRM.

Role details: This is a 100% remote contractor role open to applicants worldwide.

The role

TailWerks does not need a calendar full of bad-fit sales calls. We need consistent, professional outreach to pet businesses that can use our help, followed by qualification and a clean handoff when there is real interest.

You will research prospects, use approved outreach messaging and channels, follow up on schedule, respond professionally, book qualified discovery calls, and keep GoHighLevel accurate enough that the team can see what happened and what comes next.

This role opens the door. It does not improvise offers, promise results, change approved outreach copy, lead proposals, or close deals unless the role is later expanded in writing.

What you will own

  • Research and contact approved pet-industry prospects through assigned channels and approved messaging.
  • Execute the required outreach and follow-up rhythm consistently.
  • Review responses, identify fit and intent, and route qualified interest to the correct sales owner quickly.
  • Book discovery calls with accurate contact information and useful pre-call notes.
  • Keep GoHighLevel current with every touchpoint, response, follow-up date, stage, and disposition.
  • Maintain inbox hygiene and make sure positive responses do not wait for attention.
  • Report outreach volume, responses, booked calls, data quality, and blockers each week.
  • Flag messaging ideas, list-quality problems, objections, or process gaps for review rather than changing the approved system on your own.

How our core values show up in this role

Own It

You own the accuracy and follow-through of your assigned pipeline. Positive replies, scheduled follow-ups, and CRM records do not wait for someone else to find them.

Over Communicate

You route interest quickly, document prospect context, and raise list, message, or process problems with specific examples.

Understand Before Doing

You research enough to know who the prospect is, whether the basic fit is there, and why the approved message is relevant before contacting them.

Checked In

You work the assigned outreach blocks, monitor replies, complete follow-ups, and keep the CRM current during the agreed schedule.

Results Over Activity

High activity without fit, accurate records, replies, or booked conversations is not the goal. Useful pipeline is.

Only Client Energy

Prospects receive respectful, accurate communication and clean follow-up. They never see internal confusion, pressure tactics, or promises we did not approve.

Talk Is Cheap

A claimed outreach number must exist in the CRM, and a promised follow-up must happen on schedule.

What good looks like

  • Assigned outreach and follow-up happen consistently through approved channels and messaging.
  • Positive responses are routed quickly with useful context.
  • Booked calls meet the current fit criteria and include clean pre-call notes.
  • GoHighLevel is accurate enough to understand stage, history, next action, and ownership.
  • No prospect reply or scheduled follow-up quietly ages out.
  • Weekly reporting matches the underlying CRM activity.

You may be a strong fit if

  • You can do consistent prospecting without becoming robotic, pushy, or careless.
  • You are comfortable with phone, email, LinkedIn, and contact-form outreach when those channels are approved.
  • You keep excellent records and do not rely on memory for follow-up.
  • You can recognize genuine interest, basic fit, and a clean reason to route the conversation.
  • You follow approved messaging while still bringing useful objections and market feedback back to the team.

This role is probably not a fit if

  • You need constant reminders to complete follow-up or update the CRM.
  • You value raw outreach volume more than accurate targeting and clean handoffs.
  • You freelance the message, offer, pricing, guarantees, or sales claims.
  • You pressure bad-fit prospects to book so the calendar looks full.
  • You leave positive replies or scheduled follow-ups sitting in an inbox.

Required experience

  • B2B outreach, appointment-setting, SDR, or comparable lead-development experience.
  • Clear written and spoken English and professional phone confidence.
  • Strong CRM discipline, accurate data entry, and dependable follow-up habits.
  • Ability to research a local business quickly and work from approved targeting and messaging.

Helpful, not required

  • Agency or local-service sales experience.
  • Pet-industry knowledge.
  • GoHighLevel experience.
  • Experience qualifying and booking calls for an owner-led sales process.
