Designer
Create web, advertising, social, email, and print assets for pet businesses with brand discipline, conversion intent, organized files, and fewer correction rounds.
Role details: This is a 100% remote contractor role open to applicants worldwide.
The role
Most clients do not need more decoration. They need clear, consistent design that helps a pet owner recognize the brand, understand the message, and take the next step.
You will create website layouts, ad creative, social graphics, email assets, print pieces, and reusable templates. You will work from an approved brief and brand system, coordinate variants and formats with the channel owner, and organize the files so the latest version is obvious.
This is a production role with judgment. You are expected to understand what the asset is meant to accomplish, not only make it attractive. When the brief, copy, source material, or brand direction is incomplete, you raise the gap before designing the wrong thing.
What you will own
- Design website layouts, page sections, and visual systems that a developer can build accurately.
- Create approved ad creative for Google and Meta in the required formats, sizes, and variants.
- Produce social graphics, email assets, presentations, infographics, and print-ready pieces as assigned.
- Maintain and apply each client’s approved logos, colors, typography, imagery, and brand rules.
- Create reusable templates that improve speed without making every client look the same.
- Prepare organized, correctly named source and export files in the approved Drive location.
- Complete visual QA before handoff and respond to feedback with clean version control.
- Coordinate with PPC, Content, Web, and Account Management on the goal, message, format, deadline, and approval state.
How our core values show up in this role
Own It
You own the accuracy, brand fit, organization, and readiness of assigned creative. You do not hand off avoidable errors for someone else to catch.
Over Communicate
You raise missing copy, unclear dimensions, weak source files, conflicting feedback, and deadline risks before they create rework.
Understand Before Doing
You understand the audience, placement, message, action, and brand before choosing a layout or visual direction.
Checked In
You keep tasks, versions, review status, and delivery files current and respond to feedback during the agreed working window.
Results Over Activity
More concepts are not automatically better work. You focus on the clearest useful asset that meets the brief and channel need.
Only Client Energy
Clients see polished, consistent deliverables. Internal uncertainty, missing assets, and version confusion are resolved before handoff.
Talk Is Cheap
A concept only counts when it is executed in the required formats, reviewed, organized, and ready for the channel owner to use.
What good looks like
- Deliverables match the approved brief and client brand with few avoidable correction rounds.
- Creative arrives in the correct sizes, formats, and naming structure.
- Campaign refreshes and recurring assets are ready before the channel owner needs them.
- Website designs account for responsive behavior, real copy, and the intended action.
- Source files, exports, and the approved version are easy to find.
- Feedback patterns improve future work instead of repeating the same corrections.
You may be a strong fit if
- You can explain how a design choice supports the audience, message, or conversion goal.
- You are disciplined about brand consistency and version control.
- You can move quickly without treating the brief or QA as optional.
- You are comfortable receiving direct feedback and turning it into a stronger next version.
- You notice when copy, source assets, or channel requirements are not ready and ask before improvising.
This role is probably not a fit if
- You prioritize personal style over the client’s brand and the asset’s job.
- You wait until the deadline to mention that the brief or source files were incomplete.
- You hand off files with unclear names, missing formats, or uncertain versions.
- You treat every revision as subjective instead of learning from repeated feedback.
- You use unapproved imagery, fonts, claims, or brand directions.
Required experience
- A portfolio showing web layouts and campaign creative for real businesses or comparable production work.
- Strong working ability in Figma or an equivalent layout tool, plus Adobe or Canva for production as appropriate.
- Experience preparing assets for web, paid media, social, email, and print formats.
- Comfort receiving feedback, managing versions, and meeting production deadlines.
Helpful, not required
- Motion graphics or short-form video editing.
- Basic HTML and CSS awareness.
- Experience building brand systems or template libraries.
- Pet-industry work.
